About the Parent/Teen Support Group

Our Parent/Teen Support Group main purpose is to build a local network of support for parents, guardians, and relatives who are experiencing difficulty connecting and/or understanding behaviours of their teen or young adult.

You’ll find lots of practical advice on how to deal with common teen issues, as well as various fun bonding activities. We have a strong emphasis on sharing positive and negative experiences, guidance and support for making changes that make a healthy transition to adulthood

Building Relationship

Develop a secure and stable relationship with your teenagers by learning more about what they might be experiencing or issues they might be going through. Learn practical tools you can use to help them navigate their problems.

Conflict Resolution

We bring parents and teens together in a professionally guided process to build better communication skills, work though differences, find a common goal, and help family members work together as a team.

Emotional Management

Learn to identify when and why your teen may be in distress. Develop common support mechanisism and teach them how to seek help and work through issues independently.

The fees associated with the parent/teen support group at this moment is $20 yearly registration fee and $20 each session

Is this program only for Spanish speaking families?

No, our program is open to any parent in the community.

What is the minimum age for a teen?

This program is for parents and teens 12 years old and up.

Our program is not just counselling. We have planned some bonding activities throught the year. If you have any suggestions of anything you’d like to do, let us know.
